Angus Steak House - Piccadilly Circus

This steakhouse is close to the exit of the London Underground station of Piccadilly Circus and is one of 2 steakhouses in the area that I saw. Its slightly pricey but the atmosphere is good, and you can easily go there alone since they have smaller tables for 2 that they use for individuals (I don't want to call it for singles because sometimes you are alone in a town that you are visiting and just want to eat nice food).

I ordered the entrecote aka Sirloin of 10 oz, with mashed potatoes and spicy pepper sauce. The presentation was beautiful, and the food came to me within 10 minutes of placing my order. There were also complimentary mini baguettes. I ordered the meat as medium and as you can tell by the colour it was done to perfection. It was so juicy and tender and the potatoes has the most wonderful colour and texture to them.
HOWEVER... as the steak got thicker the meat became rarer, until it was almost like it was still alive. I had eaten almost all of the steak before coming to this part of it and was satisfied with the meal. Therefore I wasn't bothered about sending it back to get re-fired or get a new one. I did however point it out to my waiter, who was kind enough to go take it to the manager and the head chef.

The manager came out personally to apologise and offered me free dessert. For dessert I received strawberry cheese cake and a shot of espresso (worth about £7-9 all together). The dessert was amazing and the espresso was as expected.

My meal came to £22 pounds including a drink so it was slightly expensive but for London and Piccadilly Circus quite reasonable. I recommend this restaurant for all who like big steaks and on any other day without the raw meat I would rate it 4/5 overall.

Food: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Atmosphere: 3/5
Price:3/5

Overall: 3.75/5

London crazYness

Had 20 hours to waste in London before my flight to Dubai. I was booked into a hotel out by the airport (blog about that to come) so I took the underground to London to do some sightseeing since I actually haven't done that at all except a 2am tour of Buckingham Palace ^_^

Heathrow (metro) Knightsbridge (metro) Green Park (walk) Piccadilly Circus (metro) Waterloo (walk) Westminister (metro) Heathrow (metro) Hammersmith (metro) Piccadilly Circus (metro) Heathrow.

The reason for going back to Heathrow is related to the hotel that I booked and that I had to check in at 2pm or lose my room :@ arrrrrg

The London Eye
A great attraction but not worth the cost to go up on it. Also it has to usually be booked in advance and it takes a while for it to go around. If you have the time and want to see London from a good height I suppose it is worth your time. Lots of tourists and the area around it is a tourist trap. Beware

Death Trap

I really wanted to go into this place but carrying a heavy laptop bag around wasn't the best idea if I wanted to be chased around a labyrinth by people dressed up. If I have the chance to be in London with a few mates this is something that would be fun to do. The screams coming from the building were horrific! Many tourists stopped to take pictures but none dared to enter -_-

Big Ben

With accordance to the horror theme from above I was lucky I suppose you could call it to be close enough to Big Ben just as it was 12:00. 12PM might not be something scary really, but imagine it was 12AM instead lol. Yes, it was windy on the bridge and cold - hence my stupid expression.

Getting Ripped Off

Woman: Here, have a flower sir! (forces flower into my hand)
Me: Oh, umm right. Thank you.
Woman: It's children's day today. GIVE me money!!!
Me: I'm sorry, I don't have an British currency on me (this was true, I had been paying with my credit card). I've only got Swedish Kroner which is pretty useless to you.
Woman: Give it to me anyway.
Me: OK, (opens wallet and gives her 20 SEK. Worth about £2 but you can't exchange that because the exchange costs will eat it all up)

Then I walked away. Arrg, dislike London. She wasn't taking "no" for an answer.

Hilarious Protesters
These dudes and dudettes were protesting against all the inhuman justice going on in the world today. Disregarding their belief of the far left and anarchy (by the sounds of it) and the propaganda that they were spewing out they were quite funny and I want to give them credit for standing there saying the things that they did.

"More prostitutes for MPs. Give them fellatio after they wake up and the world will be a better place. A sexually satisfied man is a happy and quiet man"
(Probably one that would sleep all day too and then not cause any trouble in parliament! lol)

"Oh no, there is nothing homoerotic about the army at all! What's less gay than thousands of buff men living together in the desert with no females as far as the eye can see, hunting other equally buff men and the occasional camel for months at a time."*

Overall the slogans they had were funny but crude. That about sums their protest up. I'm not voicing my own opinion on this particular sarcasm about the army so don't start sending hate mails to me. Thanks.
